A smiling girl touching her hairEvery girl wants to have thick beautiful and shiny hair. Unfortunately, many of us are not blessed with such a gift from birth. However, this is a dream that can be easily achieved if you use the right tools.

You can find plenty of hair care products and even some specialized supplements that will help your hair become strong and beautiful. Though, if you aren’t fond of synthetic treatments, you can use some home remedies that have been popular for centuries.

The most effective home remedies for thick healthy hair are:

  • Eggs
Various masks that contain eggs are most efficient if your hair is weak and dull. Proteins make it much stronger and even help fight hair loss.
You can either mix some eggs with hair oil or apply them directly to your hair. Leave the mask on for about 30 minutes and wash it away with lukewarm water and your favorite shampoo. Repeat the procedure twice a week to get the best results.
  • Avocado
This particular fruit is an extremely potent moisturizer rich in vitamin E, which means that it is good both for the hair shaft and scalp. Avocado treatments can not only make your hair stronger and shinier, but also help get rid of dandruff.
For a better effect, mix some mashed half-ripe avocado with two tablespoons of wheat germ oil. Wash your hair, apply the mask, and leave it for 20 minutes. After this, you need to rinse your hair thoroughly and then wash it with shampoo.
  • Castor oil
This is one of the most potent anti-hair loss natural remedies. You need to massage the oil into your scalp once a week. Be sure to do this regularly if you want to achieve any success and see your hair get thicker and healthier.
Mix castor oil with coconut oil in equal proportions to make it less thick and massage the mix into your scalp and hair. Comb the hair in the end to spread the oils equally. Next, wrap your head in a towel moistened in warm water and rest for an hour. Carefully rinse and shampoo your hair afterwards.
  • Olive oil
This oil has a strong moisturizing effect and can soften your hair as well as make it stronger. You can simply massage some virgin oil into your scalp and leave it at that for 40 minutes before your morning shower. To get a stronger effect, mix the oil with some honey. The procedure should be repeated twice a week at the least.
  • Aloe Vera
This plant can not only hydrate both your hair and scalp but also helps solve a great variety of skin problems. In the majority of cases, skin disorders are responsible for hair loss and other similar problems. This is why treatments based on aloe vera are so efficient.
Crush some aloe vera and apply the gel to your scalp rubbing carefully. Add some coconut milk if you want to make the concoction easier to apply. Repeat the procedure twice a week.
  • Henna
Leaves of this plant can make your hair thicker and protect it from breaking. However, note that henna can make your scalp too dry, so you need to use it carefully.
Mix the dried ground henna leaves with hot water and apply while the mix is still warm. Next, cover your hair with some plastic and wrap it in a towel to keep the warmth. Leave the mask on for an hour or two and then rinse your hair thoroughly. Use your conditioner to make it easier to remove all the remnants of henna from your hair.
Note that henna can color your hair, so be sure to pick the colorless kind when you buy henna powder. If you want to use it in order to make your locks stronger and red to boot, be sure to do thin at least two months after you’ve last died your hair.
